Founded in 2012 by Sonoma Valley arts educators, Art Escape provides a creative sanctuary where people of all ages can gather to discover, explore, and develop their creative potential.

Art Escape provides affordable hands-on visual arts programs, workshops, and events that cultivate greater understanding and appreciation of Sonoma Valley’s rich diversity and creative spirit, as well as foster important life skills necessary to navigate our ever-changing world.

Since our founding, over 20,000 youth, teens and adults have participated in our visual art programs, over 75% of which return to engage in more programs and events. Many of our students also return as instructors and mentors, passing on the Art Escape creative legacy to a new generation.

As part of the greater Sonoma Valley art community, Art Escape is proud to partner with local schools and art non-profits to foster community and inspire creativity in people of all ages and backgrounds. Through collaborative projects, workshops, and exhibitions, we strive to provide accessible opportunities for artistic expression and education.

We remain committed to providing programs that nurture hidden talents and encourage confidence, individuality, and civic spirit. Through the generous support of our donors and community, we can continue to open new worlds of creativity, possibility, and hope.

We offer a variety of ways to learn with us:

• Enriching classes for children, teens and adults, some taught in a bilingual environment

• Self-paced art kits and craft instruction books for all ages available in our shop

• Free family-art classes and kits

• Our mobile art studio “Art Van Gogh” which delivers art programs and kits, and can be hired for private events

• On-going art programs designed to enhance local elementary school curriculum

• A gallery featuring students’ works of art and unjuried group exhibitions

• On-premise glassblowing and torch-work classes and team-building workshops for teens and adults

• Teen Art Lounge where teens gather, explore various art materials, work alongside friends, and create art

• Art Escape-hosted seasonal events
